Take Action: Tell Congress to Fund Our School

On Capitol Hill, members of Congress are busy working on a federal funding package for the next fiscal year (FY 27). This package of funding would run from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027 and would determine how much funding will be allocated to federal programs that serve our nation's children, families, and schools.

You can help by taking action today and reminding Congress to prioritize our nation's children, families, and schools! Together, we can ensure that every community has the resources needed to help all children reach their potential and thrive.

Visit the National PTA Advocacy page to contact your elected officials today!

AUCTION: Dessert Dash Needs Sweets!

The Lafayette Auction is fast approaching and no Leopard auction would be complete without the dessert dash!

If you’ve never been, here’s how it works:

We STOCK the auction space with incredible on-theme desserts: cakes, donuts, cookies, macarons for attendees to drool over while they mingle.

AFTER DINNER, auction attendees bid for desserts at their tables.

Tables are called to DASH to the dessert table and grab their favorite dessert in order of bid amounts (tables with the highest bids get to grab their treat first.)

It’s always a highlight of the evening and wouldn’t be possible without dessert donations from our community. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Make a cake or dessert that serves 8-10 people. We’ll pick it up from you, feature your name and give you all the cred for our auction audience.

  2. Purchase a cake or dessert that serves 8-10 from your favorite bakery or baker. We’ll pick it up for you, feature the name of the bakery or baker and give them all the cred for our auction audience.

However you choose to contribute, your help makes all the difference!

If you’re able to create or purchase a dessert, please reach out to dessert dash chair, Lia at: news@lafayettepta.com.
