Good Spaces: Playground Cleanup
Hello from Good Spaces at Lafayette - a new PTA committee looking to give some extra love to our outdoor spaces.
Join us this weekend, Saturday, March 28th at 10am-12pm, as we "break ground" on our first Good Spaces effort to improve our outdoor spaces. We'll be weeding our playground planters and play field! Bring your garden tools - trowels, small shovels, weeding tools, gloves, and that community spirit! We'll be back at it soon, so if you can't make this one catch us next time!
We're also on the lookout for aerators, let us know if you can loan a tool even if you can't make the event.
Share your thoughts or get involved: https://forms.gle/PVG6HZWeWFW9jK696
We'd love to hear from you! We're looking for input, committee members, and volunteers to help us weed, plant, aerate and more!
Postponed: SCPTSA Reflections Art Show
We are proud to share that 10 talented Lafayette students will have their artwork featured at this year’s SCPTSA Reflections Art Show! 🎨
These students advanced to the Seattle Council level after participating in the Reflections program at Lafayette, and their creative work reflects this year’s powerful theme, “I Belong.” Their artwork represents not only their individual talent, but also the creativity, courage, and voice of our Lafayette community.
We hope families, friends, and supporters will join us in celebrating their achievements and all the student artists across Seattle Public Schools.

Our All School Movie Field Trip to Admiral is coming up on Nov. 19th!
To celebrate our students' hard work and success of surpassing our goal for our Move-A-Thon, we will be taking an ALL SCHOOL field trip over to the Admiral Theater for a movie party. The students will be voting on a selection of movies: G Rated for grades K-3, PG for grades 4-5.
We need volunteers to help get our kids down to the theater, snacks handed out and safely back to school after the show. We need A LOT of parent help to make this work. But this can't happen without your help! We need at least two volunteers per grade plus volunteers to pass out snacks and help students find seats.
