Fall Clothing Swap and Family Picnic
Lafayette's 3rd Annual Clothing Swap!
(And yes, there will be grown-up clothes, too!)
The Clothing Swap will be held Saturday, Sept 26th from 10am-2pm in the school cafeteria. All clothes are FREE, and you don’t have donate to come shop! All clothes left after the event will be donated to local charities. Lafayette community members are welcome!
Donations Needed!
GENTLY WORN, CLEAN, NO HOLES.
Please NO underwear, socks or swim gear.
Kids sizes: T shirts, Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Hoodies, Sweaters, Coats, Shoes, etc
Adult sizes: Business shirts, Suits, Skirts, Blouses, Jackets, Pants, Shoes, etc
Please drop your donations in the marked collection boxes in the Lafayette front hall by Thursday Sept 24th.

Please join us for the 1st Annual Lafayette Family Picnic! We’ll play and eat on the playground, getting to know our school community better. Bring your own lunch and have fun!

Move-A-Thon 2026
Launch Into Learning! Registration begins on Sept 28th!
The Lafayette Move-A-Thon is a celebration of movement! Our students look forward to actively participating and raising funds to make Lafayette an amazing school! Your contributions support PTA programs, like tutors for our students, our garden program, our online reading platform and fun events for the students throughout the year.
Move-A-Thon Logistics:
Each student has 20 minutes to complete as many laps as they can along with their classmates. Students move at their own pace and complete anywhere from 5/10 laps up to 20/25 laps! You can support your favorite Leopard Learner by contributing a set donation amount or motivate them with a per-lap contribution!

We need a lot of help to make this day happen. Volunteers, please plan to be at the school EARLY that day to help with set up, and stay until noon when the older students finish up! Sign up to volunteer HERE!
Tears & Cheers - Kindergarten Families
Tears and Cheers: Lafayette Cafeteria, Sept 8th @ 8:00am-9:00am Kindergarten Parents, please join us after drop-off on the first day of Kindergarten for a cup of coffee, a tissue or a high five, and to get to know the other Kindergarten families. PTA board members and school admin staff will be on hand to answer questions! Enter the school through the front doors on California and join us in the cafeteria to your left.
FIRST DAY: PreK & Kindergarten
September 8 First day of school for Kindergarten and Pre-K students.
Developmental Preschool Hours
7:40am-10:20am (morning session)
11:45am-2:25pm (afternoon session)
Developmental Preschool has the same start date as Kinder (Sep 8). Dropoff and pickup will be at the school’s main entrance.
Kindergarten Bell Schedule
Kindergarten School Hours: 7:50 a.m. – 2:20 p.m.
Wednesdays: 7:50 a.m. – 1:05 p.m.
Teachers will greet students on the playground with signs to identify themselves. This is where you will line up every day. Students will be released back on to the playground at the end of the day. Please remember to stay behind the painted white lines at pick up to give everyone space to find their families. Teachers will make sure students in after school care are escorted to their next location. Bring your school supplies with you on the first day!
