The West Seattle 5K is returning this year on Sunday, May 21st for the first time since 2019. The 12th running of the WS5K is presented by the West Seattle High School PTSA. Participants will enjoy a beautiful 5K course along Alki Avenue SW. Register now: https://westseattle5k.com/registration/

There have been complaints recently from the Bank of America branch next to the school about Lafayette families parking in the bank parking lot and walking students onto the school property. Please do not park in the Bank of America parking area during drop-off and pick-up times. We love our Lafayette neighbors and want to keep friendly relations in our community!

PTA Budget Planning for the 23/24 begins this month! We are welcoming any PTA members who would like to be a part of the budget committee to help draft next year's budget. Meetings will be held March 30th and April 17th and the budget will be voted on at the May 4th PTA Meeting. March 23rd: General PTA Meeting 6:30-7:30 in the Lafayette Cafeteria.

Special Guest Speakers: SPS Playground Planning Analyst, Shelly Kerby and SPS Self Help Representative, Thabisa Mazur will be educating us about what it takes to make capital improvements around our school! All are welcome! You do not need to be a PTA member to attend.

Test out your knowledge (for free) and support Maslow's Closet in providing basic needs items for students and families in our neighborhood! The fabulous Devon will be hosting free-to-play trivia at the Admiral Pub. You will also be able to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win prizes from wonderful local businesses!

Meeples Game Shop will be at Lafayette on Tuesday March 14th at 6:30pm to teach families and friends the rules of a few new games that Meeples will be providing. No food or drinks will be sold/provided. Please RSVP and Sign Up to Volunteer!
