Are you ready to contribute your talents to create memorable experiences for your student and our community? Join the Lafayette PTA Board or help lead a signature event next year!
We’re currently recruiting for the following Board Positions:
Social Media Manager: Love Instagram, Canva, or storytelling? Help us spread the word about what’s happening at Lafayette and promote events, initiatives, and volunteer opportunities. Time commitment: 2–4 hours/week
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Chair: Passionate about creating an inclusive school environment for all families? Lead initiatives that celebrate diversity and build equity into our programs. Time commitment: 1–2 hours/week
Events Chair: Love making school FUN? Lead volunteers to coordinate events like school assemblies, game nights, and the family dance. Time commitment: 2–4 hours/week (varies)
Volunteer Chair: Help grow a culture of volunteerism at Lafayette by coordinating needs and finding creative ways to get families involved. Time commitment: 1-2 hours/week
Fundraising Co-Chair: Work with our current Fundraising Chair to strategize and support efforts like Move-a-Thon, our annual auction, and dine-out nights. Time commitment: 2–3 hours/week (varies seasonally)
Room Parent Coordinator Co-Chair: Partner with our current coordinator to recruit, guide, and support room parents across all grades. Time commitment: ~1 hour/week (more during startup in Fall)
Membership Chair: Plan and execute our fall membership drive and come up with a fun contest to boost engagement! This can be a board or non-board position. Time commitment: 1–2 hours/week (Aug–Oct)
We’re also looking for Event & Program Leads (non-board roles):
Move-a-Thon Leads (2 people): We have a team forming, we’re just looking for people to help manage it. Aug-Nov
Auction Co-Chair: Our 2025 Auction Chair has agreed to come back again, and she’d love to find a Co-Chair! Sept-Mar
Back-to-School Team Lead: We have a team forming, we’re just looking for someone to help welcome back our kids to school! (Aug-Sept)
Family Dance Organizer: Work with the Leopard Leaders to plan out the Family Dance in Winter! (Dec-Jan)
Winter Craft Fair Organizer: Plan and coordinate the Winter Craft Fair
