Coffee for Community

Did you know that West Seattle’s ten elementary schools eventually blend into the exact same middle and high schools? That means the kids sitting in classrooms across town today will be our children’s lab partners, teammates, and best friends tomorrow. We are truly one big community!

While five of our local elementary schools receive Title I funding for essential support, strict guidelines leave them with very limited resources for the extras that make school special—like teacher appreciation, field trips, and fun community events.

Let’s make sure every West Seattle student and family feels supported at every step of their journey.

This year, Lafayette Elementary is on a mission to raise $5,000 to directly support our neighboring Title I school communities—and you can help us make it happen!

Here’s how to jump in:

• Grab a cup at Coffee for Community: Find us on the blacktop near the SW Lander St. gate every other week at morning drop-off! (Mondays, or start of the week)

• Make a Direct Impact: Donate to the campaign today!

Let’s power up our whole neighborhood, one cup of coffee at a time!
