10/22/20, 4PM, Kids Yoga with Meg: Grades 3-5

Thurs. Oct 22 – Kids Yoga with Meg: 3-5 grade 4-4:30 p.m. 

Yogi’s will be brave warriors on an imaginative adventure as they move their bodies to shake off the day of remote learning. We’ll work on strength and relaxing breathing skills to use during challenging times! No yoga mat needed, just make sure your yogi has space to move, a blanket for yoga relaxation and a favorite stuffed animal nearby for the end of class. This class is open to all kids but will be designed for third through fifth graders.  Request the link or automatically add it to your calendar.

Thurs. Oct. 29 – Kids Yoga with Meg: Family Yoga – Halloween Edition! Yogis 2 yrs. & up 

It’s time for Family Yoga – Spooky Fun Edition! We’ll be channeling our inner zombie, mummy, and more as the entire family joins in for yoga fun! We’ll move through a series of fun yoga poses that even the ghosts and goblins will enjoy! Costumes hat you can move in are encouraged! This is a family class open for little yogis and their big yogis alike! No mats needed, just space to move, a blanket for yoga relaxation and a favorite stuffed animal nearby for the end of class.  Request the link or automatically add it to your calendar.

10/21/20, 2PM, S.T.E.M. Club: Animal Optical Illusions

Ms. Alden is hosting the 2nd S.T.E.M. Club Meet Up.  Your Leopard Learner will design, build, and have a good time! S.T.E.M. Club focuses on giving the kids an opportunity to engineer solutions and learn cool facts while getting to design hands on solutions to a S.T.E.M. challenge.

October 21, 2PM:  Animal optical illusions will focus on how we can trick the eye by making an animal inspired thaumatrope.  Request the link or automatically add it to your calendar.

Sit back, relax and join Parent Volunteer Liz Satwicz on Fridays as she introduces our learners to Roald Dahl and makes her way through his series of books.  Thank You Liz for giving your time to the students of Lafayette!

Little yogis will enjoy this fun, imaginative yoga play date! We’ll turn into our favorite yoga animals, fly on adventures, and work on some calming relaxation techniques. No yoga mat needed, just make sure your little yogi has space to move, a blanket for a yoga nap and a favorite stuffed animal nearby for the end of class.
