SPS Virtual Field Trips

While it’s not the same as in-person experiences, Seattle Public Schools has worked with partners at the Seattle Aquarium and the Woodland Park Zoo to bring virtual field trips to students!

Throughout the summer, they will be creating videos that will give students a chance to explore the zoo and aquarium from the comfort and safety of their homes.

Calling all Seattle Super Readers!

SPS is excited to kick off another summer filled with excitement, adventure, and learning – all through reading! From July 6-August 7, there will be books available for students in grades K-5 to choose for summer reading at all meal sites. When your student finishes a book, simply bring it back to a meal site and exchange it for another. Books will be “quarantined” for three days after being returned, in order to ensure the safety and health of our families, students, and staff per CDC guidelines. Seattle Public Library’s Summer of Learning reading logs will be available at all meals sites for students to pick up which can guide their reading all summer, along with learning packets provided by SPS. Each meal site will also have a Super Reader Sidekick to help your student pick out a book that they will love. The meal sites will remain the same through August. Let’s get reading, Super Readers!
