For Parents of 5th Graders Who Will Be Attending Madison

New Years’ Resolution – Volunteer for Madison Middle School PTSA!

Most of us aren’t very good at keeping up with those promises we make to ourselves on New Year’s Day.  Here’s one that’s easy to keep.  Volunteer for the Madison PTSA for the 2013/2014 school year.   Even though we are only half way through the school year, we are already thinking about next year.  The good news is that most of the elected officers and chairs are will to mentor next year.  Many will be parents of 8th grade students in 2013/2014 and want to pass along their experience to a new team of volunteers.  This means you won’t have to do it alone.  If you have ever thought of helping out but didn’t know how, 2013/2014 is the year for you.  You can take it slow, learning the ropes.  No matter how big or small the amount of time you can offer, we can use your help.  It’s a fun group of people, it’s a great way to meet parents from other elementary schools, it looks good on your resume, and most importantly, you will be doing something good with a purpose.  Take a look at the PTSA website.  If you see a role that fits your skill set or one that you would like to learn, send an email to this year’s PTSA President, Zelma Zieman by using the form below.  We will be electing next year’s officers at our meeting on April 10th.

Also, please join us for Casino Night, February 9th, 5:30-10:00pm – Get yourself connected!

Want to feel more connected at Madison?  Casino Night is for you!  Mingle with teachers your kids rave about.  Throw dice with parents who have kids in the same grade as yours.  Casino Night is all about meeting new friends.  This is a night to socialize, play your favorite casino games, and just relax and enjoy.  The event ticket covers the cost of appetizers, door prizes, and four hours of entertainment.  The PTSA raises money throughout the night with raffles, a silent auction, drinks and most importantly – your generous donations.  Our amazing team of volunteers is creating an evening of fun and a few surprises.  If you’re interested in attending, contact Annie Higgins or Kathy Wimer for information on how to buy tickets.
